Account Eligibility

BioMedica Practitioner Account Eligibility

BioMedica is committed to supporting the holistic practitioner. As such, we have implemented a stringent policy where BioMedica accounts and the ability to purchase our products are only available to practitioners in a clinical setting. We tightly control the availability of our products to maintain this standard.

In addition to AHPRA defined health care professionals, practitioners defined in the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 s42AA and associations outlined in the Therapeutic Goods Regulation 1990 Schedule 1, we accept applications from practitioners whose qualifications are accepted by the following registered associations: ATMS, NHAA, CMA, ANPA, ANTA. We also accept Dieticians who are members of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Unfortunately, if you do not meet these minimum standards, we can not offer you a BioMedica account or access to our products.

Practitioners with international qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis.

TGA Certificates:  In 2013, TGA representatives advised ATMS that ‘TGA certificates’ were an industry-based initiative and not required by the TGA. The Complementary Healthcare Commission (CHC) who administer supplement companies also confirmed there was no legal requirement for a practitioner to hold such a certificate for the purposes of placing orders with supplement

companies. Therefore, ATMS no longer issues these certificates.
